The Diocese of Itanagar congratulates Sr. Rakhe Alik from Bogra village of Boasimla parish on her first profession as a Religious Sister in the Sacred Heart Congregation.

On Sunday, October 10, 2025, Sr. Rakhe and six companions from the Amala Province of Assam made their solemn commitment during a Eucharist held in Tezpur, presided over by Bishop of Itanagar Most Rev. Benny Varghese Edathattel.

The ceremony also included the final profession of two sisters and the silver jubilee celebration of five sisters from the same province.

In attendance were Bishop of Tezpur Most Rev. Michael Akasius and Emeritus Archbishop of Imphal Most Rev. Dominic Lumon, along with many priests, religious, family members, and well-wishers.
